Vibrant Tribute to Mahakavi:
Our school campus resonated with patriotic fervor as we celebrated the birth anniversary of the legendary poet, Mahakavi Subramaniya Bharathiyar. The day was a grand showcase of talent, featuring over 200 young participants across various grade levels.
Musical Melodies & Choral Tributes
The celebrations kicked off with a massive choral performance. Over 150 students from Grades 1, 2, and 3 filled the air with joy as they sang the rhythmic and empowering Odi Vilayadu Paapa.
Following the junior choir, 40 students from Grades 4 and 5 captivated the audience with a medley of Bharathiyar’s most iconic compositions:
Olipadaitha Kanninaai
Paarukulle Nalla Naadu
Muruga Muruga
Vande Matharam Jaya Jaya
Artistic & Literary Highlights
The spirit of the Mahakavi truly came alive through the creative expressions of our students:
Grade 1: Our youngest stars stole the show, dressed as Subramaniya Bharathiyar with his signature turban and mustache, performing his powerful songs with great enthusiasm.
Grades 2 & 3: Students showcased their deep understanding of the poet’s legacy by delivering insightful original speeches about his life and contributions to Tamil literature.
Grade 4: A graceful dance performance to the beloved song Chinnanjiru Kiliye added a touch of elegance to the event.
Students also recited original poems they wrote in honor of Bharathiyar’s timeless message of freedom and courage.
”The event was a beautiful reminder of Bharathiyar’s vision for a brave and united India, perfectly channeled through the voices of our future leaders.”
